In the small town of Earby (formerly in Yorkshire; now Lancashire), factory worker Dorothy ('Dot') Crawshaw arranged a coach trip for local children to see a pantomime at the Bradford Alahambra Theatre, some thirty miles away. This was the first of several he would be treated to and Zenon became hooked on the bright lights. Since then he has carved a career as one of the UK's most successful comedy magicians, both live and on television, with performances in around thirty countries.
